Final Inches Patient Katie K. talks about Day 4 After Procedure
Monday, day 4. First day totally off Motrin and for the first time not really feeling like I need it. I am out and about running my three kids crazy kids around when I run into a friend that I had not seen since my first day after surgery. She is absolutely shocked at how amazing my results already are and how amazingly flat my tummy from the swelling has already gone so flat. I am not going to lie it felt really good. Considering this friend was one of the most skeptical out of our Mommy group, I felt somewhat vindicated. She had to say all of the negatives when I first brought it up at the park during one of our many Mommy discussion. She had to see me on my first day post op. And now here I was standing in front of her, day 4, looking slim and sexy. Is there any other better feeling in the world?!
P.S. She wants to have the procedure now of course!
Anyway, back to me! Which means back to my kids…This particular Monday was the first day of swim team for my oldest daughter. She was so excited to get on her team suit and head down to the pool and start strutting her stuff. It kind of reminded me of how I was feeling. I was starting to feel so amazing. It was so great to have that feeling finally return to me after being gone for about the last 6 years through pregnancies, c-sections and long stretches of nursing.
So what did I do? I put on my cutest skirt and tight tank top and we both went down to the pool to strut our stuff!! It felt so great to meet all of those new Moms looking and feeling so great. I actually had an odd sense of being proud of myself. Not because I had starved myself for a year, or run 1,000 miles more than I already was. But because I actually stood up and said , hey I can’t get these final inches off! And I need help! And I am going to finally do something for myself, and I did it!
Stay tuned for Day 5 and all of my fun adventures.
